Launched in 2022, our plant in Sundsvall, Sweden, is the world’s first industrial-scale chemical textile-to-textile recycling facility, and the starting point for our global expansion.

Reopening in 2026 with a production capacity of 60,000 tonnes per year—and the potential to double capacity over time—it will be instrumental in bringing next-generation materials to scale for the fashion and textile industry.

Located at Ortviken, a well-established industrial hub, the site offers strong infrastructure, logistics, and access to both talent and an established pulp and paper ecosystem. Built on proven pulp industry technology, our process is uniquely suited to this environment, making Ortviken a natural fit for Circulose.

The 2026 restart is underpinned by long-term volume commitments from leading fashion brands, marking a new chapter, not only for Circulose but for the broader industry.
